Every day print media outlets get tons of news releases, and only select ones will make it into the paper. So when writing a news release you better make sure yours is perfect and will catch the attention of someone with the smallest attention span ever. From the lead to the last period everything needs to be in tip top shape. However, if I had to pick one part of the release that needed to be the best, I would say the lead, because that is whats going to catch peoples attention and get your release where it needs to be.
